Hello everyone! My name is Veronica, also known as Ronnie. Nice to meet you all! I am a 25 year old living in Los Angeles, CA. I absolutely love traveling, music/concerts, reading, animals, chocolate, sleep, and I’m kind of a germaphobe, so I’m addicted to hand sanitizer, haha. Are you a professional make-up artist? What kind of work do you do?No, sadly I am not a professional make-up artist. I’ve been doing makeup since I was 12, and I mainly do it on myself and for friends and family on occasion. I would love to be one someday though. Why did you start your blog and how did it evolve to what it is today?I started my blog mainly for fun and to use it as sort of an online portfolio. When I first started out, it was very discouraging because no one seemed interested. But then I started to get followers and I got a sense of what my readers like to see, and now I can’t stop. I absoletly love to blog!Looking back on your looks and blog, what do you think was your best workor what is your personal favorite?
I am extremely proud of my 7 Deadly Sins series, and it’s probably some of my best work. I worked long and hard on those and a lot of brainstorning and researching took place. Certain ones were such a pain in the butt, too! My personal favorite look of them all is definitely Sloth. I love how my eyes actually look tired and lazy, but can still be worn as an actual look! What’s your favorite color in make-up looks?Oh, this is a toughie. Black is my go-to shade, you can never go wrong with it. As for color, I love wearing blue with my eyes…they stand out like crazy! How much time do you spend on your site on a daily basis? It depends on what I’m doing on that particular day. But I typically check on it every couple of hours or so.Do you ever use photoshop or other software on your pictures?I do. I mainly black out my background and fix any blemishes and/or imperfections on my face. A lot of the times my camera washes out the colors of my makeup application, so I fix the colors as well, if needed.Do you get a lot of reactions about your online work from your partner, friends or family?Yes! My wonderful husband is my #1 supporter. He is the one who pushed me into this direction. I also get a lot of support from my sister, my best friend, and my in-laws.
What are your favourite blogs or Youtube channels?I have so many favorite bloggers, but the list would be way too long! So here are just two of them for now:
Meredith Jessica at Pigments and Palettes. It should be illegal how insanely creative and talented this girl is. I get more excited that a tween at a Justin Bieber concert when I see a new blog post from her!Kassie at Unique-Desire. Like Meredith, Kassie is extremely gifted as well. Her Sailor Moon series is crazy good, and she deserves so much more recognition! My favorite YouTubers are:What have you gained through your blog, anything about blogging that you didn’t anticipate?I have gained lots and lots more practice with makeup…that’s for sure! But that is a good thing, you can never have too much practice. I never, ever would have thought that I would be featured photo on Beautylish. That’s when I realized that people really do enjoy mywork.
What’s your favourite make-up product? This is like choosing a favorite child! It’s almost impossible….but if I absolutely needed to choose just ONE product, it would most likely be black eyeliner. The best one I have ever used is one by Chanel. What current trend do you love? And which one makes you hope it will disappear soon?I’m totally digging ombre hair right now (I just did it to my hair last week). The trend I can’t stand right now is the tribal print…No thanks! As for makeup, I’m in love with burgundy lips! Can’t really think of one I don’t like, to be quite honest. If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive. Who would it be and why?Another tough question! I’m going to pick one dead, and one alive.Dead: Salvador Dali. I am obesessed with his artwork, and he was such a crazy, eccentric and genius man. I would have loved to spend a day with him, and have him teach me some stuff.Alive: Ellen DeGeneres. I stand for everything she believes in! Not only is she hilarious (I’ve been to her show 3 times, and I’m going again in October!), but she is so passionate about the things that she loves, and I really admire that. She is a huge inspiration to me.
Do you have any plans for your website for the future we should know about?Nothing huge as of now, but I am planning to have a better layout pretty soon.Anything you’d like to say to readers of Bloggin’ Beauties?Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this interview, and for taking time out of your day to check out my blog. It really means so much to me that you guys enjoy my work…it makes it all worthwile. I wish I could personally thank each and every one of you with a huge hug! MUAH! <3 XO
